Fun Weekend in San Diego

Where do I start....

What a fun week/weekend I have had for my bub's birthday. It was nice and relaxing, just perfect for everything going on in my life.

This was from Ocean Beach, San Diego! We stayed pretty much right on the beach and it was a super gorgeous day. It was somewhat of a long drive to get there but we finally arrived. We went to eat at this little pizza place down the street and it was amazingly good and than just walked the beach the rest of the time before heading back to get ready for Gaslamp Quarters. It was nice watching the sunset and just all the surfers and people playing. The water was so nice, we wanting to get in the water but it was a little late already.

We went to eat at this pretty unique and different place. I forget the name of it but you order your steak and you grill it yourself. It was definitely different but pretty cool. The price wasn't that bad, especially for a steak house because you are grilling it yourself. I was in a beer mood and we got this organic acai beer and it was really good! Pretty chill night at Gaslamp Quarters. I wanted to actually "party" a little with bubs, but he was so tired and we were so full that we ended the night a little early. We walked around and shopped a little with what was opened before leaving but still a nice night.

The next day we went to have a nice breakfast outside since it was so beautiful and boy was the French Toast and California Benedict B.O.M.B! If you know me you know that I am not a fan of french toast but this was delicious. I had a surprise for bubs that I gave to him the night before. He'd been talking about this for the last couple of months, and I know he really wanted to do this. So I got him surfing lessons. He did so good that we seriously want to move by the beach just to surf all the time. I knew he would do great. I got in the water to boogy board and stuff like that but was interested in surfing too. I was nervous because if you know me again, I am a nervous "ocean" person lol. Finally I decide I want to try surfing and of course as we walk up to the water a lady goes, "be careful I just saw a baby shark". Like seriously lady, who just says that haha. So I was real hesitant but after a little I finally just said, let's do it. After trying and being a little nervous, it was so awesome! I did so good, I was so proud of myself. One getting in the water and than being able to actually do it! It was definitely hard but I kept trying until I was winded and couldn't go anymore. I did eat it pretty bad and the board like hit me in the gut. Other than that it was so much fun for the both of us. I can't wait to surf again and live by the beach.

The birthday festivities didn't end there. We went to my mom's house after the beach stuff and got to go out with my brother's to Round 1 which was really fun too. After coming home, I had more surprises for him. We went to Smith and Wollensky and had an amazing steak dinner, thank you to my amazing job. Oh boy the Ribeye was so good! I than took him to Le Reve at the Wynn which he wanted to see but he was so uncomfortably hot that I don't think he got to enjoy it that much. It was a great way to end the night and his birthday. Dinner was good and the show was okay. It was a beautiful show but I was definitely not enjoying it as much cause I knew he was uncomfortable.

Anyway's that was our week/weekend! No one probably would read this but like I said it was more for me to remember and write down my feelings. Coming back home and being able to relax for 2 day before having to go to work again was really nice. We had some car problems but happy it is going to be fixed and I will get my car back tomorrow! We were almost stranded though. Now I can just go back to work with a little nice vacation we had. Got a lot off my mind and got to just relax with the love of my life. Time to get back into the grind of things, get my work out and healthy routine back on and just get back to my old self. Can't wait until our next mini or BIG vacation! Stay tuned for more. Thanks for reading!!!

xoxo - tina
